My Background:

 In 1998 at the request of Michael Shepherd I began operating as an independent Art Agent after six and a half years managing a dealer gallery in Auckland.

As an agent I work with a small number of established New Zealand artists.

In 2002 I teamed up with Hugh Bannerman, Director of Dilana to open 40 George Street as a gallery to exhibit the artists that I work with and Dilana's range of limited edition artist designed rugs and carpets.

In 2008 I began looking for new premises and in May 2008 I opened my gallery on the first floor of the lovely historic Blackett's Building on the corner of Shortland and Queen Street in Auckland.

I look forward to introducing you to the artists and their work.

Other Projects:

2009 - as art-coordinator for the Edmiston Trust worked with a team from the Voyager - New Zealand Maritime Museum to re-develop the Edmiston Gallery in the Museum. The gallery re-opened to the public in Nov with a new look and new exhibitions.

2008 - Employed as art-coordinator for the Edmiston Trust a part-time role.

2007-2008 - Employed by the Edmiston Trust to work with the Auckland Museum to commission a Sculpture, for South Entrance of the Auckland Museum. Brett Graham completed his granite work "Whaowhia" for this site.

1999-2006 - Project Coordinator for 'Sculpture 2001'

Sculpture 2001 was formed in February 1998, partly in response to the NZ Lotteries Board calls for submissions for Millennium Grant funding. The group goal is to promote public sculpture in the Auckland region. The artists wanted, "as residents of Auckland, to express in their work a reflection of Auckland's culture."

Eight of the sculptor members - Chiara Corbelletto, John Edgar, Charlotte Fisher, Fred Graham, Christine Hellyar, Neil Miller, Louise Purvis, and Greer Twiss conceived a project to install 8 new permanent sculptures in the Auckland Domain. The projected worked closely with the local council, Auckland City, to meet their requirements for Public Art. It is the first artists' initiated project of its type in Auckland.

Between May 2004-December 2005 the sculptures were installed. On May the 5th, 2006 the completion of the project was celebrated with Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Helen Clark, Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage as guest speaker.
